They should really increase the cap for mine count in No Guess mode. - MegaField_MegaMine - 11-03-2023

With the max board size sitting at 500x500, the max mine count being set to 49225 is certainly an issue since the mine density is too low (19.69%) compared to regular board mine density (25%).
You might argue that no one's gonna play with a board that large anyways, and if that's the case, then why bother allowing people to make boards that contain 250000 tiles in the first place? If you're gonna implement something, at least do it properly.
I tried downscaling the map and make the mine density 30% on no guess mode and it works just fine.

Hello. There is no such upper limit on the numer of mines. I just tried to create a 500x500 board with 150,000 mines and it got created without any problems. I suspect that the issue you are complaining about is that such boards won't get generated with Pure Intellect mode on. But Pure Intellect won't work for 30x16 (the Expert size) with 200 bombs either. So yes, for every board size there is a number of bombs above which Pure Intellect won't work. That does not mean that the game is implemented "improperly." As described in the Help document, this decision was deliberate, because creating boards takes too much time in such circumstances. For that reason, "the cap" cannot be increased any further. However, you are welcome to play 500x500 at lower mine densities in Pure Intellect or at any mine densities in the remaining two game modes.

The minecount will forever bug me since it's not a round number. Oh well...
